On a walk in the woods, I captured some of the muted colors and textures of late fall. These photos are taken from the banks of the Chattahoochee River a wee bit north and west of Atlanta.
Hardly the vibrant fall foliage of New England or the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, nonetheless these subtle colors and textures make for a great backdrop to the serenity of the river.
Dead and fallen leaves present their own beauty, and the fall weeds and grasses are stunning in their detail. What’s not to love about a walk down by the river.
