This will be a short post. We are sitting in a campground in Glacier National Park in northwest Montana and about to transit across into Canada later today on our trip to Alaska. As available we will try to post chapters of our journey. But for now, let’s not forget how unbelievably beautiful Glacier National Park is!
Montana itself is a beautiful state and absolutely abundant in agriculture – huge swaths of farmland as far as the eye can see, all seemingly well cared for. After traveling hours (make that days) across Montana, you are suddenly struck by the imposing sight of the Rockies – a magnificent wall of beauty. If you are Lewis and Clark, maybe you see them a little different, but for us they are spectacular.
On the drive in to our campground, we saw magnificent vistas of mountains, and even wild horses along side the road grazing.
When we did arrive at our campsite at the St. Mary’s campground, you can see that the views weren’t hard to take just from there!
We arrived only yesterday (this is a very short stay in part due to the weather (30 mph winds and rain due later today), but it was long enough to recognize we want to get back here again at some other time. The views are simply breathtaking, and far more beautiful than my camera can record. So enjoy, and see you down the road!

Onwards towards Alaska!
[…] get to Glacier in a moment; and you can see our previous visit in May on our way to […]
I felt like I was flipping through a National Geographic. I could hear the theme song playing in the background. Great pics. Safe travels.
Spectacular! Our one and only stay at Glacier was just after a huge forest fire about 11 years ago. So beautiful there. You won’t believe me when I tell you it will just keep getting better and better!
Great photos as always Brad.
