Palm Springs Trailer Trash – Feb 2018

One of the big deals in Palm Springs during February is Modernism Week, which is all about mid-century modern architecture and design, which I would highly recommend attending (see my previous posts from 2015 on Modernism: A, B, C and D).

If you haven’t been to Palm Springs, there really is some fabulous 50’s era architecture and design that is just great, and Modernism Week is designed to help expose those attributes more easily to those who might not get to experience it, at least knowingly, otherwise.

This year we did not attend Modernism Week, but we did attend the 2018 Modernism Week Vintage Trailer Show, hosted by the hostess-with-the-mostess, Mona Heath – yeah Mona!

As you might expect, there are some vintage trailers and motorhomes that are just stunning. Many of the rigs, and I would say most, were from the 50’s and early 60’s (and at least one 40’s era Curtis Wright!), most refurbished by owners.

Take a look at some of these rigs… see any you like?

Can’t remember what this is, but they only made 7, and only 2 still exist (this being one)
