It has happened again – a truly magnificent weekend in the north Georgia mountains with Airstreams, vintage trailers and really cool people! Every year for the past 10++ years Alan and Shannon have organized a meet-up of like-minded folks who enjoy good company, breaking bread, and sharing their love for Airstreams and other really cool trailers.
The only mar in the event was the presence of some local hookers, but security escorted them off the property.

There were some fabulous trailers this year, from a wide collection of Airstreams to Shasta’s, a Vagabond, an Avion truck camper and who knows what else – all told I guess there were about 30 units participating. On Saturday afternoon we did a “tour of homes” in the campground and got to see how others had fixed up their trailers. Pretty cool!

Saturday night was our potluck dinner that was, as usual, tremendous! After dinner we were treated to music from the Not a Band Band. As an extra special activity newcomer John brought his karaoke system and the place got hopping with some of the finest talent this side of, well, the trailer park. Did I mention there was a LOT OF DANCING going on? Oh yeah.

And of course, post entertainment was Thor, Cauldron of Death for an appearance to warm up those who wished to sit around the fire. All in all, it was a most awesome weekend. Thanks to everyone who attended, and again special thanks to Shannon and what’s his name.
