I have posted previously on the Booth Western Art Museum (over 2 years ago) but we went back, and still love this place! At 120,000 square feet, the Booth Museum is the largest permanent exhibition of western art – in the country!
Situated in downtown Cartersville, GA, we specifically went to see the Ansel Adams collection, but I was reminded that this museum is fabulous even in absence of any special exhibits.
As an amateur photographer, I take pictures. With superb subject matter and his camera, skills, and eye for composition, Ansel Adams creates masterpieces. While I would have loved to include photos of his western pieces in this post, it is nearly impossible to do that and have it do justice. None the less, if you get a chance to see his works up close and personal, do it – amazing!
As part of the museum there is a presidential exhibit, which showcases presidential portraits, letters and various sculptures.
Here are a few of the other pieces we saw today…

If you are traveling, visit the Booth Western Art Museum next time you pass through Atlanta, and if you live anywhere in the greater metro Atlanta area, get out to see this museum!
