Friends of ours invited us to join them at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in midtown to see the “Chihuly in the Garden” exhibit. It has been a very long time since I visited any botanical gardens, but the Atlanta Botanical Garden was superb. When you marry natural beauty with art, the result can be spectacular, as it was here.

Created by internationally recognized artist Dale Chihuly, this glass, water and neon art exhibit is set amidst the natural beauty of the gardens themselves.

We visited the Garden starting at 6pm so that we could enjoy the exhibit both during daylight hours as well as see it at night for a totally different experience.

The greatest challenge for me was to cull down to a manageable number of photos to include in this post, from the hundreds of great photos I was able to capture.

This is one of those times where you just have to let artistry and beauties of nature speak for themselves. Enjoy this walk in the garden!

[…] Botanical Gardens (Atlanta). We have been several times, once during the Chihuly exhibit, and once for the Christmas lights, but I am pretty sure any time is a good time to visit […]
Hi, Fellow New Englander’s, we got out of the cold years ago, now in NorCal and will be in a AS Classic (we think) in the next 2 months fulltime. We just saw your your blog and enjoy it!…BTW, we were neighbors growing up. Born and raised Concord, MA.
We’re looking at Trucks now, struggling to decide, any tips, recommendations for towing a Classic @ 10,000 Lbs..would be great

Wow! Glad you enjoy the blog! My parents owned a store on Main Street in Concord – The Paint Pot. And I managed Buttrick’s Ice Cream in Lincoln on Rt 2A – all many years ago. Small world!
For me, I have found the perfect tow vehicle with a Ford F250 (diesel) with a Leer cap. I’d be happy to share my thoughts – friend me on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/brad.roberts.9047506) and let’s stay in touch!

Love Chihuly! Saw this same show in Dallas at the Botanical Gardens and loved it. Rode our bikes there and it was 150 degrees. Ok, exaggerating only slightly. Hottest bike ride in history. Have a chandelier of a student of his in our dining room that is amazing. Only reason I have it is Michael had a little too much wine when we were bidding on it at a charity function! Love, love, love it.
