One of the nice things about creating your own blog is you can write about whatever you want. In this situation, that is not the case. I am about to lose one of my childhood friends to a very long-term and prolonged illness, and it makes me sad to write this story.
Frohn, if you can read this or have it read to you, and as I have said to you almost every time I have greeted you, or we have spoken over the last 50+ years, go fuck yourself.
Stephen is still with us, so I hoped to take this moment, since I am far away, to say thanks for being a good friend. But let’s be honest, you’re still a douche bag.
Here’s to honors society in high school (well, that may have been you, but not me), driving awesome cars, white water rafting in Maine, excursions into Kenmore Square, Lexington/Concord football games, pints of Guinness at the Plough & Stars, skiing in Vermont, HiFi Pizza, the Beachcomber, many many adventures on the Cape, the Donkey Show in Cambridge, and to many more events over the course of a lifetime too numerous to list – or remember!
You have been a dear friend, and many others and myself will sorely miss you.
The good news is I don’t have pictures from most of our antics. That is fortunate for us, but bad for law enforcement.
It has been an honor and pleasure to know you, and we love you.
