Almost to the day for me, it has been 3 years since I (we) retired. Oh, how I miss those days of quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily, hourly forecasts… And who doesn’t love a well-placed flaming email distributed to the world. After retirement, one is forced to forego the joys and luxury of business travel: cramped middle seats, yucky hotel rooms, and mint-laced car rentals. Yes, those were the days. Miss them.
So, we have had to take up the slack and fill in those past and glorious moments with some other diversion. For us, we hit the road. Your mileage may very.
With three years of travel under our belt, to more states than not, here is a goofy pictorial review of those three years. A few details may have been omitted. Literally in no particular order (or time sequence), here are some scenes from the last three years. I have tried to provide a link just below each picture that will take you to the original post, if there was one.
When I say travel, not all of that is to far flung states. We have enjoyed local-to-us stuff here in Georgia (and nearby) as well, and here are a few of those photos:
I mention travel, but it is always nice to get back home as well. We live in a great neighborhood and as much as we travel it always feels special to come home to our friends here.
Always a joy to see your adventures! You are our inspiration! Thanks!
Thanks – and I am glad!!
Wow loved it but could have done without the shirtless guy in the kayak and the 3 moons.
