Camden (ME) – Sept 2014

Camden offered us a great chance to catch up with friends (thanks to Ken and Helen for hosting a GREAT weekend!).

While we camped at Camden Hills State Park, our friends stayed in cabins at Point Lookout (Lincolnville, ME – near Camden), a simply stunning resort (?) where instead of typical hotel rooms, you stay in these really cute log cabins. Stunning views from the property overlook Penobscot Bay. In addition to a boatload of laughs, we had two very special dinners. The first night we dined at Chez Michel in Lincolnville, and it was superb! Very casual place, but the food was exquisite. The second night we dined at the Youngtown Inn, I guess also in Lincolnville but 5 miles just outside of town. Yousa!! Great meal! A little more “dressy” (but nothing to worry about) because it is an inn, but the food is to die for, great service. Highly recommend Chez Michel and the Youngtown Inn for dining, and Point Lookout for accommodations!
