Originally New Englanders from Lexington, MA, we lived in the Atlanta area for 25 years, but have moved back to New England (the seacoast in NH). No one moves north in retirement. Right?

We have traveled extensively in our Airstreams to all the US contiguous states (plus Alaska), as well as many of the Canadian provinces, and travel as often as makes sense, the weather encourages or the whim directs.

We have traveled and camped for years (picture below of my bride from our honeymoon in our rental camper in New Zealand years ago), from backpack camping, to car/tent camping with kids, to our Airstreams.

We have always been outdoor-inclined, from camping, to skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, running – just enjoying the outdoors.
This blog is about our travels and adventures!
Back in the day our kids would camp and be seen with us (sometimes grudgingly). We are insanely proud of both our two kids, but today they are living their own dreams, and hopefully will enjoy careers, family life, travel, camping and other activities as much as we have.

We have had four-legged partners over the years; all of our dogs have come to us used, from the pound or a rescue service. Today sitting 3rd chair is Nana, a ten year old (best guess) Chiweenie (Dachshund/Chihuahua mix).

Our other dogs have all moved on to their own dog adventures, and we miss them all greatly. Here’s to Penny, Frankie, Lucy, Rosie and Dottie!

We have yet to travel to a place we did not love – what a beautiful country! If you have traveled, then you may appreciate our journey. If you have not, we hope you take some inspiration, comfort and interest in seeing where we have been and what we have done.

The photos on this blog are 99% my own or Karen’s. I used a Canon 6D for years, but today I almost exclusively use my phone (iPhone 15 Pro).
Your comments and/or suggestions are most welcomed. Safe travels to you, and hope you enjoy sharing in our journey!

Thank you – much appreciated!
Hi Brad (0: It’s David and Marlene from TCPC, we are almost to Alaska! BC and the Yukon are beyond beautiful, loving every day of this adventure! Just left Atlin, BC, a side trip worth experiencing if you want to see a small village set against the biggest fresh water mountain in North America!
Happy traveling, hope to see you again at TCPC one day. (0:

Yo, Niles. Hey Cindy and I were just on a mini road trip ( I know, you would call it a Sunday Drive 😉 Sedona to Grand Canyon to Zion to Brice to Salt Lake City. I looked back through your calendar compendium and don’t see that route in your travels. Sunrise at Bryce Awesome! Almost as nice as Sunset on Lake Norman. No, you haven’t come for a visit here either, but we’ll leave a light on for you. You are welcome any time. Chow
Hey, we are at your house now – was a little disappointed in your liquor cabinet, but we loved your big screen TV and collection of fine china. Glad you had a great trip! We have been to those places, but would go back again in a heartbeat! Sunrises are not good for my zen state, but sunsets seem to work. Keep travelin’ pal!!!

Like we are part time RV’ers who travel with our beloved dog. We still have a sticks and bricks home in Coastal Georgia and have been traveling through the U.S. and Canada for almost ten years. Happy trails and safe travels!
Safe travels to you! It is a great way to see the country and meet great folks.
