National Park Service 100th Anniversary – Aug 2016

The National Park Service was created this month in 1916, one hundred years ago, “to conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and wildlife therein, and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations.”, and 59 locations were then or have since been designated as national parks.

We have yet to visit all of the 59 national parks, but on this anniversary here is a picture or two from the parks we have visited (in alphabetical order). We have yet to visit a national park we did not love. If at all possible, get out and enjoy these national treasures!
